In short: DisplayHud itself sends nothing about you. The app asks our server whether a licence key is valid — that is all. Everything that happens is listed here. The German version is authoritative.

What the app sends
No usage data, no telemetry, no analytics, no third-party crash reporting, no ad networks.
When you activate a licence — and occasionally afterwards — the app sends exactly two things: the licence key you entered and a non-reversible identifier derived from this Mac. That is how many Macs a key runs on is counted.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the check is part of performing the contract.
If the server cannot be reached, the app keeps working for a week and asks again later. Nothing is queued and sent later.
What a purchase stores
Payment runs through Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. We never see your card details.
We store: your email address, the licence key issued, how many Macs it covers, the time, the Stripe checkout identifier, and the time of your express consent to immediate delivery.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR. Invoice-relevant records are kept for ten years as German tax law requires.
Sending the key
We use Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) to email your key. Transferred are your email address and the key, on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.
This website
No cookies, no third-party fonts, no tracking pixels. That is why there is no consent banner: there would be nothing to consent to.
The site runs on Vercel Inc., which keeps technical server logs (IP address, time, requested address) needed to operate the site and fend off attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.
